Angela Robinson - Platz
President and Founder
The A-Team is busy at work, creating, brainstorming, negotiating, sourcing, writing, ordering, designing, having fun and doing what they do best. Ms. Robinson leads the team but knows full well that without her A-Team, nothing happens. Robinson is a consummate professional and founded her company on the principles of hard work, dedication, loyalty, high ethical standards and creativity. Over the years she has worked with a variety of clients and takes pride in offering a quick response time. Every day, she oversees each client project and gives her utmost attention to detail and works closely with the A-Team to create superior results.a
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice administration from San Jose State University. Prior to her graduation, she studied agriculture in 4-H and at Salinas High, general education at Hartnell College, Journalism, Mass Media and Television Production at Cuesta College and Agriculture Journalism at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA. Volunteer work is extremely important to Ms. Robinson. She is a Past President of the Paso Robles Lions Club; the second woman ever to join the club and the first female president in its history. She also served as the Lions District 4-A3 Region L Chairperson for 2 years. In 2008, she was awarded Lion of The Year, the first woman ever to receive the award. According to late Lion Dave Simpson, "She was voted Lion of the Year because of her dedication to the core humanitarian values held by the Lions Club organization such as generosity, compassion and concern for others less fortunate." Past volunteer work has included serving as the chairperson of the board of directors for a local children’s non-profit organization and serving as a court appointed special advocate for children removed from their homes (CASA).
Angela has been a San Luis Obispo County resident for more than 34 years. In her free time she enjoys gardening, bird watching, traveling with her husband, entertaining her friends and clients and enjoying the outdoors with her Labradoodles.
Account Executive/Graphic Designer
Erin graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor’s degree in History. She has worked with a variety of Central Coast businesses, including Ernie Ball Strings & Accessories, New Times Media and, most recently, the non-profit Central Coast Children’s Choir where she worked for more than eight years as the Administrative Manager. She has also worked as a copywriter and designer for both national and regional brands. A skilled strategist and networker, Erin garners meaningful, measurable exposure for AR & Co. clients in local media outlets. Her background in media and advertising regularly proves to be an asset to our clients when communicating ideas and concepts.
Erin enjoys spending free time with her husband and two daughters. She loves live music and performances—especially when her daughters are involved—but also calls herself a movie buff and is an avid reader and gardener.
Jr. Account Executive
Renee graduated from Fort Hays State University in Kansas with Bachelor’s degree in General Studies, with a concentration in Interpersonal Communication. She has been a Military Spouse for 18 years and has traveled all over the United States. She has lead several non-profits. with her most significant one being the West Point Spouses Club. She served as President for two years in addition to her role as Publicity chair, serving well over 250 members. Giving back to the community while keeping up to date with the latest technology and social media in the PR and Marketing field has been a goal and driving force in her success. Renee’s experience in social media, publicity and working with people is a great benefit to our clients.
Renee enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children at home and her fourth child, who is in college at West Point Military Academy. She enjoys spending time on the beautiful California Coast but also loves to spend time getting creative.
Jamie is a professional writer with more than eight years of experience in marketing, journalism and public relations. As AR & Co.’s Senior Writer, she enjoys crafting clean, captivating copy for websites, press releases, brochures, email newsletters and any other form of written material our clients may need.
Born in San Luis Obispo, she was raised in Carlsbad in San Diego County. She spent a few years back east and abroad (testing out her foreign language acquisition) before returning to her native land for college. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming and enjoying the outdoors.
Alex holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He began working for AR & Co., almost from the company’s inception, in graphic design and website development. Today Alex continues to consult with AR & Co. – assisting with computer networking, installation and maintenance. It has been almost twelve years since his initial employment at AR & Co., when he was still a graduate student at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California.Originally from Russia, Alex came to the United States when he was just 12 years old and has been hard at work ever since. His very first job was selling firewood on the street corner in Bellevue, Washington– a job that undoubtedly taught him the value of hard work, interpersonal skills, and the importance of an education.
In 1998, Alex moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly, and worked as many as three jobs at a time to put himself through college. He now works full time as an electromechanical engineer for an oil company. Previously, he has worked as an engineer for BMW, an independent electric car company, and a food processing facility, as well as a web and graphics developer for a technical school, developing advertising materials, a website, graphics, brochures and customer outreach materials.
