The A-Team
Ms. Angela Robinson Owner and Founder
Ms. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice administration from San Jose State University. Prior to her graduation, she studied agriculture at Salinas High, Journalism, Mass Media and Television Production at Cuesta College and Ag Journalism, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Angela is a consummate professional and founded her company on the principles of hard work, dedication, loyalty, high ethical standards and creativity. Over the years she has worked with a variety of clients and takes pride in offering a quick response time. Ms. Robinson gives each client her utmost attention and works toward creating results.
Volunteer work is extremely important to Ms. Robinson. She is a proud member of the Paso Robles Lions Club; the second woman ever to join the club in its 68 year history. Recently she was awarded Lion of The Year, the first woman ever to receive the award. According to Lion President Dave Simpson, "She was voted Lion of the Year because of her dedication to the core humanitarian values held by the Lions Club organization such as generosity, compassion and concern for others less fortunate." Past volunteer work has included serving as the chairperson of the board of directors for a local children’s non-profit organization (for two years) and training and serving as a court appointed special advocate for children removed from their homes.

Monica Account Manager
Monica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing, from San Diego State University. At AR & Company, she heads up the publicity and media buying departments and is the key liaison for all Client Services. She resides in Paso Robles, where she was raised. As a valuable team member for AR & Co., her high IQ, combined with a passion for public relations and marketing, fuels her ambition to get the most effective results for all of AR and Co.’s clients.
Monica's ability to work hard and multi-task under pressure is a product of her life experiences; while a full time student at San Diego State University, she worked nearly full time, volunteered at the local animal shelter, held a membership in the American Marketing Association, and in her senior year of college completed an internship in the marketing department of Dlush.
Outside of work, Monica volunteers as a board member for the North San Luis Obispo County Boys and Girls Club, serves on the Marketing Committee, is the Secretary of the board and spends time with her puppy, Bella. She also enjoys the outdoors, pilates, reading, biking, hiking and wine tasting.
Mark Graphic Design and Web Development
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Professional Writing. After graduation, he went to grad school for Multimedia and earned his professional certificate in Graphic Design. At AR & Company, Mark is the lead, in-house, graphic designer, graphic artist, and web developer for the creative department at AR & Co. His diverse background and uncontrollable creative drive make him quite valuable to AR & Co.’s clients.
He grew up just a stone’s throw south of Paso Robles in Santa Barbara, CA. He excels in all aspects of marketing and design including: graphic design (both for print and web), social marketing, web design, branding, search engine optimization (SEO), photography and time-based media.
His current skill set pays tribute to his varied background working for a variety of large corporations and ad agencies.
Outside of work, Mark is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. He also volunteers as the Creative Coordinator and Webmaster for the Santa Barbara Media Group (a student-run advertising agency out of UC Santa Barbara).
Jamie Senior Writer
Jamie graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Modern Languages & Literatures and a minor in Linguistics. Though she has studied Spanish, Italian, and French, and intends to learn more languages, her specialty is English. She puts her love of word play, creative story telling, and crafty, clever copy to work as AR & Co.’s Senior Writer. Jamie excels at revamping dull websites, pumping press releases full of pomp and circumstance, dreaming up unique article ideas for newsletters, and generally wielding words to catch people’s attention.
Born in San Luis Obispo, she was raised in Carlsbad in San Diego County. She spent a few years back east and abroad (testing out her foreign language acquisition) before returning to her native land for college. She is now a proud resident of sunny Shell Beach where she enjoys walking her dog along the bluffs, swimming and surfing, practicing yoga, baking, spending time with close friends, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and watching movies.
Laura Marketing and Communications Associate
Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with two minors - Anthropology and Latin American Studies - from Drew University. Laura brings her passionate attitude and positive energy to AR & Co, where she assists in media relations. Laura distributes and follows up on client press releases, coordinates interviews, and monitors client media placements. Additionally, she directs various newsletter projects and writes everything from website content to media alerts to general copy.
Laura considers herself to be “bi-coastal,” as she spent her childhood in Connecticut and Vermont, has called California home for the past eleven years, and attended college in New Jersey. She is delighted to be home on the beautiful Central Coast and working at AR & Company.
Laura is the Secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Templeton, which she has been involved with since 2003; she is passionate about community service and loves to help people. Laura has traveled to 25 countries and 42 states, bringing a valued cosmopolitan background to her work. She also enjoys cooking, photography, spending time with friends and family, and taking care of her three-year-old Shetland Sheepdog, Dolan.
Alexander Web and Technical Support
Alex holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He began working with AR & Co. almost from the company’s inception. Today Alex continues to consult with the AR and Company creative team – assisting in web and graphic development. It has been almost seven years since his initial employment here when he was still a student at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California.
Originally from Russia, Alex came to the United States when he was just 12 years old and has been hard at work ever since. His very first job was selling firewood on the street corner in Bellevue, Washington – a job that undoubtedly taught him the value of hard work, interpersonal skills, and the importance of an education.
In 1998, Alex moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly, and worked as many as three jobs at a time to put himself through college.
Previously, he was a factory engineer at a food processing facility in charge of hands-on equipment repair, maintenance and upgrades. He also worked on web and graphics development for a technical school, developing advertising materials, a Web site, graphics, brochures and customer outreach materials.
When not working, Alex enjoys surfing and working on cars.
